Valborg Beach Bonfire

Please join us in the traditional Scandinavian Spring celebration of Valborg. Valborg/Vappen/Vappu/Walpurgis Night is widely celebrated in Sweden and Finland. It marks the beginning of Spring and is a time for communal gatherings with singing and bonfires.

Date: Saturday, May 3
Time: Gathering starting at 4 pm. Bonfire lit at 6 pm
Location: Twin Lakes State Beach, Santa Cruz

You Bring:
Your own food and drinks (glass containers not allowed on beach)
A chair or blanket to sit on
Warm clothes
Beach games if you have any

We Provide:
Fire
Skewers for those who are bringing hot dogs to grill over the fire (hot dogs are a typical food for Valborg)
Hotdog condiments
S’mores fixings
Kubb games
